Aim of the group.

RODA theater group was formed in January 1991. The aim of its members is to explore the Theater Experience and its possibilities in contributing to the broader development of the personality and human potential, according to the special principles on which the Group has based its Existence and its methods of Work.

Under the general guidance of Maria Peretzi, the Group emphasizes the participation of all members in every step of the theater process. The text, the direction, the sets, the music, even the lighting and the costumes, are always a result of group work.

The realization that the main obstacle in achieving quality in group work is the conflicts of people which polarize their creative potential, led to the formation of the Group. The aim is to study in action the way one can overcome friction which stems from interpersonal conflicts as well as internal conflicts within one's psychology.

In essence, the "actor" of RODA with his efforts, redefines the framework of his objective experience and attempts to restore his lost connection with his deeper Self, his Conscience. In his own body, his attitudes, emotions, memories, through his own barriers and their overcoming, he has the opportunity to walk into the apocalypse of his Individual Unknown.

From there, he passes on to the exploration of the Group, the Collective Unknown that binds all human beings and reaches the Audience to whom RODA directs its Work consciously.

To be a real actor, one has to be a real man. Everybody must be an actor. This is a high aim. The aim of every religion, of every knowledge is for one to be an actor.
